Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Play Date in NYC

During the hours leading up to the Lindsay Lohan’s recent arrest, Justin Bieber and his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez were co-participating in some more family friendly fun across town.

Us Weekly is reporting that Justin and Selena replayed the part of young lovers during a late night outing at Time Square’s Dave & Buster’s in NYC.

According to the report, the couple arrived “arm in arm” around the witching hour where they primed to “play a bunch of games.”

But skee ball and Donkey Kong weren’t the only “games” going down at the adult arcade excursion…

"They were arm in arm the whole time, and even stole a kiss here and there," the source said. "They definitely seemed happy and in love and had a great time."

This update, of course, comes after a Justin “was desperate to get back together with her,” while Selena was “worried, but she still loves him.”

Meanwhile, mere blocks away at Club Avenue, Lindsay was reportedly loading her 120-pound body with all sorts of booze that later would serve as fuel for the bad decision to (allegedly) punch a woman in the head and flee the scene.

LiLo was booked for third degree misdemeanor assault and released four hours later.

The troubled starlet was previously linked to the boy wonder as she reportedly attended Justin’s Madison Square Garden performance earlier that evening.

It is now being reported that Justin wasn’t Lindsay’s reason for attending the concert, but instead her possible new love interest Max George of The Wanted.

If the new love sticks, I hope Max is cool with a long distance relationship moving forward. You know, like from jail!

Kareena Kapoor tries pelvic thrust in Dabangg 2 item song

                            

Designer Manish Malhotra has styled Kareena's costumes for the item song and Farah has choreographed her moves.

Kareena Kapoor canned an item number for Dabangg 2 and says it was great fun shooting for the song as she tried something new for it.

"It was great fun. I loved the song... for the first time I have done a pelvic thrust. I have never done that before and Farah Khan has shot it amazingly. I am looking forward to it because it's a fun song. I hope people love it," said Kareena, who did item number Halkat Jawani in her film Heroine, told IANS.

Arbaaz Khan is making his directorial debut with Dabangg 2, which stars his big brother Salman in the lead role.

There were reports that her sister Karisma was on the sets while she was giving shots for the song and Kareena said: "She came to meet Salman, Arbaaz, Malaika and all and that's it. She was not there to give any takes."

Salman Khan gets Sonakshi Sinha a new voice

                                

Saanson ne, composed by Sajid-Wajid, is a duet with Sonu Nigam. The song is about love and commitment towards each other.

Singer Tulsi Kumar has sung a romantic number Saanson ne for Sonakshi Sinha in Dabangg 2, on the request of the film's lead actor Salman Khan.

"Salman liked my song Humko pyaar hua from Ready and asked me to try a romantic number for Dabangg 2. After the recording, both Salman and Arbaaz Khan liked the way I sang the number and finalised my rendition for the film," Tulsi said in a statement.

Saanson ne, composed by Sajid-Wajid, is a duet with Sonu Nigam. The song is about love and commitment towards each other.

In the past, Tulsi has lent voice to actresses like Katrina Kaif, Kangna Ranaut, Asin and Karisma Kapur in songs picturised on them. She is known for singing Tum jo aaye zindagi mein from Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.

In the near future, her songs will be heard in movies like Nautanki Saala, Yaariyaan, I Love New York, Aashiqui 2 and Zila Ghaziabad. 

 

Dabangg 2 teaser released on Facebook

The first look of Dabangg 2

The much-awaited look of Dabangg 2 was unveiled on Salman Khan's official Facebook page and the star says this is to cater to new generation which follows movie news on new media.

Salman, whose Facebook profile has got 6.8 million likes, says he will also use traditional medium to promote his movies.

"There is a new generation following movie news on new media, so we launched the campaign on Facebook. We will continue to use traditional media. It's not about one replacing the other. It's one alongside the other," Salman said in a statement.

Directed by Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 2 is a sequel to 2010 blockbuster Dabangg and also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Deepak Dobriyal. It will hit theatres on December 21.

The 10-second-teaser, which was unveiled on November 7, just shows Salman with his trademark shades. While another teaser, which will be released on November 10 will give a sneak peak into the movie. 

 

I take success, failure in the same stride: Sonakshi Sinha                 

After two back-to-back hits - Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore - Sonakshi Sinha's Joker failed to set the cash registers ringing. But the actress is unperturbed and says she handles both success and failure in the same manner.

"I think the best way is to take success and failure in the same stride. Both come one after the other," she told IANS in a group interview. "I have been fortunate that my films have done well. So I don't really go and shout on the rooftop that my film crossed Rs.100 crore, nor do I cry when my film doesn't do well. I do this (acting) because I enjoy my work," she added.

Failure of "Joker" has not hampered her in any way, she said and added: "I was a part of the film. Everybody connected to a film, which doesn't do well, is affected. How I treat my success, the same way I treat my failures." Meanwhile, the actress is gearing up for the release of her new film Son of Sardaar, opposite Ajay Devgn. Directed by Ashwni Dhir, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Juhi Chawla.

In the film, Sonakshi plays a typical Punjabi girl. The 25-year-old has performed various bike stunts in the film. "It was fun and a completely different experience. The character is very colourful and vibrant. I am doing a lot in this movie, which I have not done before like action, and riding a bike," she said.

Son Of Sardaar is set to release Nov 13 and late filmmaker Yash Chopra's Jab Tak Hai Jaan too hits the screens on the same day. Though Sonakshi is saddened by the legendary filmmaker's sudden demise, she doesn't believe that the simultaneous release will have any effect on the two films.

"It's a sad fact that a legendary filmmaker passed away, just before the release of his film... I don't think we should mix our movie and his movie and make it a topic of conversation. This decision is not in my hands, I am the actress of the film. It is something, which much senior people than me are looking into and deciding. The lesser I say, the better it will be," she added. 

 

Malaika Arora Khan guarded about Dabangg 2 role

Dabangg 2, being directed by Malaika's husband, Arbaaz Khan, will have Salman reprising his role as Inspector Chulbul Pandey.

She created a rage with her item number Munni badnaam in the 2010 film Dabangg, and in the movie's sequel too, Malaika Arora Khan is expected to recreate the magic. But she is not ready to divulge any details about her part.

"I am a part of the film, but in what capacity, you will only know that once you see the film. So when you watch the film, then you will see me," the 39-year-old said on Sunday at the Blender's Pride Fashion Show.

Malaika has reportedly, recently shot for a song titled Pandeyji seete mare with her brother-in-law Salman Khan.

But, she has also made it clear that she is happy that Kareena Kapoor is doing a special song in Dabangg 2.

"Kareena is definitely a part of our film and I am really glad that she is there and will be doing a special song in our film," she said.

Dabangg 2, being directed by Malaika's husband, Arbaaz Khan, will have Salman reprising his role as Inspector Chulbul Pandey, and Sonakshi Sinha will be seen as his wife.

The film hits theatres December 21 this year.

 

Best working rapport with Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan trustworthy: Sonakshi Sinha

 

Having worked with senior actors in her movies, the vivacious actress insists that age difference does not matter.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has worked with both Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan twice, says she is very comfortable with both the stars.

Sonakshi, 25, was first paired opposite Akshay in Prabhu Deva's Rowdy Rathore, which was a hit at the box office and also starred together in Joker.

"I don't know if he has started recommending me to filmmakers. I think when you work with an actor in a film and it does well, everyone accepts your chemistry. I share the best working relation with Akshay," Sonakshi told PTI.

"Akshay did quite a lot films with Katrina as people liked their chemistry, they liked to see them on screen. I think same thing happened with us. Not only the audience but industry people also like the casting," she said.

Sonakshi is all praises for the Khiladi, with whom she will be seen again in Milan Luthria's Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, though she is reported to have been paired opposite Imran Khan in the film.

"He (Akshay) is very nice. We both are punctual so no producers and directors have a problem with us. It is a good atmosphere when he is around as he makes people laugh all the time. We share a good working rapport," she said.

Apart from Akshay, Sonakshi teamed up with Salman for superhit Dabangg and will be again seen opposite him in its sequel, that releases on December 21.

"I find Salman trustworthy because I have known him since I was 16-17 years old...I trust him a lot," she said.

Sonakshi was recently seen alongside Ajay Devgn in Son of Sardaar.

"If you meet them then you will not feel there is an age difference. They behave younger than us. It is all in the head, I don't think that way, I feel fortunate to work with such established, big stars, Sonakshi said.

On if she ever dared to call any of these stars 'uncle' prior to entering Bollywood, she said, "No never, I would have been beaten up for calling them uncles."

Besides, Sonakshi has also teamed up with young actors like Imran Khan and Ranveer Singh for her two upcoming projects - Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2 and Lootera, respectively.

"Both Imran and Ranveer are professional actors and both have different ways and method of acting. Imran is very spontaneous and chilled while Ranveer is someone who is very methodical, he is involved in his character," she revealed.

Talking about Lootera she says, "The shooting is complete, post production work is going on. It is my most difficult film so far in terms of look, location and getting into the character of 1950. I am looking forward to it. I want to see how it has turned out."

 EXPECTATIONS

Really, one doesn't have to think much before setting any expectations from the music of Dabangg 2. You know the genre it would belong to, the audience it would target, the winning formula it would try to replicate and the element of fun that would be at the core of it all. Just like one associates certain kind of music coming from the house of Bhatts, even Salman Khan and Sajid-Wajid combination carries its unique identity as well. As long as one gets that, rest assured the strong fan-base of Salman, which is especially strong in the interiors, is expected to be content. With Dabangg 2 aiming at that very segment, you are pretty much sure about the brief that Arbaaz Khan must have given to Sajid-Wajid and lyricists Sameer, Jalees Sherwani, Ashraf Ali and Irfan Kamal.

MUSIC

One can see that there is an obvious attempt by the makers to replicate musical situations from Dabangg as-is in the film's sequel as well. They don't even attempt to conceal this endeavour and this is the reason why 'Dagabaaz Re' is set in the same mode, situation and setting as 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain'. Soft, smooth and soulful is how 'Dagabaaz Re' turns out to be, what with Sameer's lyrics pretty much capturing the small town feel with elements around 'Chulbul' thrown in as well. With a 60s feel to it, the song has Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shreya Ghoshal coming together for this less-on-instruments and more-on-melody song which is just the right recipe for those who were looking at Dabangg 2 carrying the Dabangg 2 legacy forward. Meanwhile Shadaab Faridi's voice can be heard intermittently in the song.

In Dabangg, the song which was set in the 'police thaana' was 'Humka Peeni Hai'. In the sequel, the setting remains just the same though it is the turn of Malaika Arora Khan to join Salman in his escapades as he gets 'ready' for his 'seeti' act. With a ferocious start to it, 'Pandeyjee Seeti' is a quintessential UP-Bihar song written by Jalees Sherwani which has Wajid letting his hair down as the voice of Salman Khan. Reminding one of 'Chalat Musafir Moh Liya Re Pinjare Wali Muniya (Teesri Kasam, 1966)', the song has a folk base to it with Mamta Sharma and Shreya Ghoshal adding further spice to the proceedings. This isn't all as one also gets a hint of Govinda's 'UP Waala Thumka Lagaoon' from Hero No. 1. Though the song (also appearing in a 'remix') is quite fast paced and hardly has a breather to offer in those four minutes of play, one waits to see how it is picturised before being sure of its long life.

The kind of start that 'Fevocol Se' takes, one is rest assured that if Kareena Kapoor Khan goes the whole hog in the song then it has in it to be one naughty-n-seductive song that would go a long way. With Sajid-Wajid and Ashraf Ali's lyrics perfectly in synch as 'Munni Badnaam Hui', the song has Mamta Sharma singing just the way only she can, especially in the way she kick-starts rather seductively. Wajid is an ideal companion as well in this song which has everything from references like 'Aaja Mere Raaja' and 'Saare India Ko Tune Ghulam Kiya Re' to 'Tandoori Murgi' filling in those five minutes. A winner all the way, it has Keerthi Sagathia, Uvie and Shadaab Faridi being heard in the background with the 'remix version' further ensuring that this one would stay on for some good time to come.

There is 'thehrav' that comes in the form of 'Saanson Ne' which is undoubtedly the best of the enterprise. Easy on ears while taking forward the 'Chori Kiya Re Jiya' mood, it is yet another wonderful rendition by Sonu Nigam who is increasingly getting the best song on every album if trend over the year gone by is any indication. In fact this Irfan Kamal written song is the kind that can be comfortably placed in a repeat mode and enjoyed immensely. With Tulsi Kumar doing a very good job as well along with Sonu, this love song is a complete package that demonstrates once again the kind of hold that Sajid-Wajid have over Indian music.

The title track of Singham and Khiladi 786 have been based on 'Hud Hud Dabangg' and life pretty much comes back full circle for the entire team of Dabangg with the song appearing in its new avtar. Jalees Sherwani is the lyricist for Dabangg Reloaded which is all the more ferocious with a Western element added to the musical arrangements as well. Surprisingly though, Sukhwinder Singh keeps his energy in check for this and isn't as vociferous that one normally expects from him. Still, this title song (along with the 'remix') is the kind that should set the tone of Dabangg 2 and visually it should be as dramatic and forceful as one expects from the film.

OVERALL

Dabangg 2 delivers as a promised. One expected an out and out massy score that would appeal to the interiors ('Fevicol Se', 'Pandeyjee Seeti'), would have something for a pan-India audience ('Saanson Ne', 'Dagabaaz Re') and deliver a punch to establish the character ('Dabangg Reloaded'). In that perspective, Sajid-Wajid do not disappoint and though some out there may term this as playing safe, it is to the credit of the composers that they haven't tried to alienate their music from what the film indeed stands for. The 'connect' factor along with the fact that Dabangg is still oven fresh in audience mind would only add on to the fortunes of Dabangg 2 soundtrack that should see quick-fire sales/ring-tone downloads on its very arrival. As for the power to stay fresh amongst audience mind on a long term basis (just like it is the case with Dabangg), a lot would unfold once the visuals are unveiled and the movie hops on to (an expected) good run at the box office.

Recessions are a part and parcel to every sector whether be the internet, Bollywood or entertainment industry. 2012 has been a blockbuster year and there have been a huge investment that has been done by the producers. The first seven months have been quite good at the box office as there have been a few big releases and now the trend has begun where in speculations are done in order to suspect if a film shall do good at box office and go beyond the rupees 100 Crore  mark or not?

This year there are a couple of big releases being awaited at the box office like Salman Khan’s Dabangg-2 or Ajay Devgan’s Son of Sardar to name a few!
