The annual meeting on Friday has established itself as the most popular race day north of the border since it was first launched in 2004.
Racegoers came from all over the UK to ensure the ninth consecutive sell-out crowd. Suntans -fake or genuine - and high heels were the order of the day.
The day started with sunny weather before the afternoon became rainy and gloomy. But that didn't deter the ladies.

They enjoyed themselves at lunch and in the bar and then had a flutter on a couple of horses, Classical Diva which won at 9/2 and Grand Diamond which romped home at 16/1.
For £74 each they could drink champagne at a private table in the picnic area next to the Weighing Room.
Some of the wealthy customers indulged themselves in the private suites in the Queens' Stand which cost guests £250 each.
For their money they were treated to a champagne reception and canapes with a three-course lunch, afternoon tea, a talk from top tipster and £5 tote betting voucher

At first, race meetings were held on the sands at Leith, but in 1816 they moved to Musselburgh.
The course offers both flat racing and National Hunt meetings (though it only introduced jumping in 1987) and is 2 km long.
In the middle of the course is a nine hole golf course, dating from at least 1672. The Royal Musselburgh Golf Club was founded there in 1774.
